Mahanakorn Tapioca was built on a single conviction: that Thailand's finest cassava deserves to be processed with the same precision demanded by the world's best food, feed, and industrial buyers. We built a fully integrated facility in Udon Thani — where 60% of Thailand's cassava is grown — and have never shipped a substandard batch.
Thailand is the world's third-largest cassava producer, and Udon Thani province is its most productive region. The sandy, well-drained laterite soil — locally called din daeng (red earth) — produces cassava with exceptionally high starch content, routinely reaching 28–32% fresh-weight starch, well above global averages.
Mahanakorn Tapioca was incorporated on 16 September 2022 by a team with multi-generational ties to the local cassava industry. Rather than buying from intermediaries, we built direct relationships with contracted farmers across Nong Kung Si and Non Sa-at districts, guaranteeing traceability from root to container.
Our Nong Kung Si factory was designed around a single philosophy: extract every unit of value from every cassava root that comes through the gates. Native starch is our flagship line. Modified grades — pregelatinized, acetylated, hydroxypropylated — are processed downstream using controlled chemical and thermal treatment.
By-products are not discarded. Cassava pulp feeds our organic fertilizer line. Chips and pellets are graded separately for animal feed and ethanol production. This integrated model gives us pricing stability, traceability, and zero dependence on external processors.
The Khorat Plateau — spanning Udon Thani, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima and Nong Bua Lamphu — produces cassava that consistently delivers higher starch content and lower fiber than roots grown in other regions. The combination of well-drained laterite soil, distinct dry and wet seasons, and generations of farming expertise creates raw material quality that is difficult to replicate.
Every certification we hold is a gate that a buyer's compliance team required us to pass — not a marketing badge.
The globally recognised standard for food safety management across the supply chain. ISO 22000 covers hazard analysis, prerequisite programmes, and continual improvement — the framework our entire production operation is built on.
A science-based food safety framework that identifies, evaluates and controls physical, chemical and biological hazards at each production step. Mandatory for food-grade exports to the US, EU and Japan.
Ensures that our products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards appropriate for their intended use. GMP covers facility hygiene, personnel practices, equipment calibration and documentation.
Compliance with European Union food safety regulations (EC 178/2002 and associated directives) covering contaminant limits, labelling, traceability and hygiene requirements for food ingredients entering EU member state markets.
Our facility is registered with the United States Food & Drug Administration, a prerequisite for exporting food ingredients to the American market. FDA registration enables Prior Notice filing for all US-bound shipments.
Full compliance with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA B.E. 2562) for all customer and partner data handling. Our web platform and communications are protected by industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption.
We will never blend Udon Thani cassava with material from other regions to hit a lower price point. Our buyers specify our origin for a reason — root quality, starch content, contaminant profile — and we protect that specification in every contract. All cassava sourced within 120 km.
From raw cassava root to food-grade starch powder, modified specialty grades, animal feed pellets and organic fertiliser — one facility, one chain of custody. This integration lets us control cost, quality and documentation at every step, rather than relying on a network of sub-processors.
We do not maintain separate "domestic" and "export" production lines. Every batch is produced to the most stringent specification we hold — ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP. When a buyer's auditor arrives, there are no surprises. When a COA is issued, every figure is from our in-house lab, not estimated from batch averages.
Formally registered in Udon Thani (Reg. No. 0415565003420) by founders with deep roots in Northeast Thailand's cassava industry. Factory site acquired in Tambon Nong Kung Si, Amphoe Non Sa-at.
Primary extraction, separation, drying and milling lines become operational. First batches of native tapioca starch tested in-house and submitted to third-party lab for certification baseline. First B2B export shipments to Chinese buyers.
Pregelatinized starch (drum-dried, cold-water dispersible), acetylated starch (E1420), and hydroxypropylated starch (E1440) lines integrated into the main facility. Each modification stage has its own documented HACCP control point.
Cassava chips, pellets and pulp lines become active, converting processing residues into exportable animal feed and ethanol-grade materials. Organic fertiliser composting facility commissioned — completing the zero-waste production cycle.
ISO 22000:2018 certification awarded following a successful full-scope audit. HACCP plan and GMP documentation certified. EU food ingredient compliance and US FDA facility registration completed. Full multilingual product documentation published.
Active direct-export programme to China, the United States, the European Union and ASEAN markets. Online B2B platform launched at mntapioca.com. Expanding ethanol-grade capacity in response to growing demand from bioethanol producers.
